Ravens Bakery has stood at the heart of Ingatestone since the 17th century, where bread was once delivered by horse and cart to village residents. Generations of the Raven family baked through wars and changing times, with coal ovens, early morning starts, and a proud community spirit. Their legacy lives on in the walls of our shop and the stories we continue to tell.
In 1991, Giselle Hyland brought new life to Ravens Bakery, crafting artisan bread and confectionery with care. Her daughter Jessica and son-in-law Jon took over in 2017, adding a family-friendly garden and modern touches while keeping traditional values alive. We bake everything fresh, support local suppliers, and embrace sustainability and dietary inclusivity with pride.
